Our refuge can be reached by snowshoe in winter. Here is a possible itinerary for snowshoeing up to the Dormillouse refuge:
Start your snowshoe hike from the winter car park after the village of Les Mensals. Follow the groomed itinerary to the bottom of the valley (summer car park) and take the footbridge on the right. Climb the winter path. Depending on your level of fitness, it will take you between 1 and 2 hours to reach us.
You can take a stroll through the village, walk around it on the Roman bridge, or climb up to the Palluel hut and beyond!
